What Does God Say About Abortion?

Important Information
The most important decision any woman can make in her life is when she becomes pregnant and knows that she is going to have a baby. If things are going normally, she is married, the baby was planned and she and her husband are ecstatic about having a child of their own. This is as it should be because God said to "be fruitful and multiply." However, in today's world many times babies show up due to anything but a happy marriage.
Pregnancy can be the result of a one night stand, or be the result of two people who are attracted to each other physically, but who have no intention of getting married, or an "accident" because precaution was not taken by a couple and the woman is much older than the normal child bearing years. Or the reverse, the couple is married but is not ready to have children yet. And the worst case scenario, the woman is raped and becomes pregnant due to a violent crime.
The possibilities are endless as to how and why women become pregnant. But one thing is for sure, she is absolutely pregnant. You cannot be partially pregnant. Which means life has begun at the moment of conception.
There are countless scriptures in the Bible where God tells us that He is the one who gives life and He is the one who knows EXACTLY when life begins. Here is one of those verses: Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.

Before you were formed in the body of your mother I had knowledge of you, and before your birth I made you holy; I have given you the work of being a prophet to the nations.
English Revised Version

Webster's Bible Translation
Before I formed thee in embryo I knew thee; and before thou wast born I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet to the nations.
It is abundantly clear from all these various translations that what God is saying here is that even before conception has taken place he knows each person in minute detail and even ordains their purpose in life before they are even conceived in their mother's womb.
Not only that, He actually appoints the number of days each person will live on this earth. See below: Psalm 139
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Most people do not realize that God has actually chosen the number of days each person will live on this earth before they die. When a woman aborts her baby she is "playing God" and she is prematurely ending the number of days that God has chosen for that aborted child to live. Simply put, abortion is MURDER.
Our bodies do not belong to us. They belong to God. Our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. A woman's body is merely the vessel through which life comes forth into this world. God is the one who gives and breathes life into a human baby. So since our bodies do not belong to us, but to God, we are not free to abort a baby that HE has ordained should live.
If we were to kill a two year old child we would call it murder. We would call it murder to kill someone who is 12, or 22, or 42, or 82, or 102. Society would call that MURDER. But in God's eyes, since life begins at conception there is no age difference between 2 weeks and 2yr, 22yr, 42yr, or 82yr. They are all the same age to God. To end life prematurely is to murder that life. Perhaps a life that God has great plans for.

Thus says the Lord: "For three transgressions of the people of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they ripped open the women with child in Gilead, that they might enlarge their territory." (Amos 1:13)
"Moreover you took your sons and your daughters, whom you bore to Me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your acts of harlotry a small matter, that you have slain My children and offered them up to them by causing them to pass through the fire?" (Ezekiel 16:20)
"You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way: for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their God; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods." (Deuteronomy 12:31)
"They did not destroy the peoples, concerning whom the Lord had commanded them, but they mingled with the Gentiles and learned their works; they served their idols, which became a snare to them. It is obvious from the above scriptures that God abhors abortion and considers it to be MURDER. And the liberal media and politicians and feminists who try to tell you otherwise are ignoring what God says about it. Not only that, those who help a woman get an abortion will pay for it in the next life.
THOU SHALT NOT MURDER is VERY CLEAR. And if you murder an innocent child you will end up in hell. So if you are trying to decide whether to abort your baby or not, the clear answer is NO. Save not only your baby's life, but your life as well. For when you kill your child you also eternally kill yourself. The choice is yours. If you do not believe in God or the Bible and think you can go ahead and kill another human being with no consequences you will find out you are wrong.
Not only that, but women who have already had abortions become very depressed and even suicidal years later. Many of them end up in counselors offices unable to live with their sin. It affects them the rest of their lives.
There are too many loving adults who cannot have children who would love to adopt your baby. Even if you were raped, DO NOT MURDER the baby inside you as it is entirely innocent. Have the baby and put it up for adoption. So you do have an alternative.
If you have already had an abortion then you can confess that as a sin before God and ask God to forgive you of the sin of abortion. If you do this, and are sincere, He will forgive you and you will not end up in hell when you die.
